OVERVIEW

Fridgio ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. 

This policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and your rights.

DATA WE COLLECT

1. Grocery Data (stored on your device only)

   Your grocery items, expiry dates, quantities, categories, notes, and 

   preferences are stored exclusively on your device. This data is never 

   uploaded to any server and is never accessible to us.

2. Anonymous Device Identifier (for Refer & Earn)

   A randomly generated device identifier is stored on our servers (Supabase) 

   solely to operate the referral rewards program. This identifier is not 

   linked to your name, email, or any personal identity.

3. Usage Analytics (Mixpanel — anonymous)

   We use Mixpanel to collect aggregated, anonymous usage data — for example, 

   which features are used and how often. No personal identifiers, names, or 

   email addresses are sent to Mixpanel. This data cannot be traced back to 

   you as an individual and is used only to improve the app.

4. In-App Purchases (Apple / StoreKit)

   Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive 

   your payment details, credit card information, or Apple ID. Apple's 

   Privacy Policy governs this data (apple.com/privacy).

5. On-Device Camera / Receipt Scanning

   The camera and photo library are used only for receipt scanning on your 

   device. No images are sent to any external server.

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

• Grocery data: never leaves your device.

• Device identifier: used only to track referral rewards; never shared or sold.

• Analytics (Mixpanel): used to improve app features; anonymised and aggregated.

• We never sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

• Apple App Store / StoreKit — manages payments (apple.com/privacy)

• Supabase — stores anonymous referral records (supabase.com/privacy)

• Mixpanel — receives anonymous usage analytics (mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy)

• Google ML Kit — on-device receipt scanning; no data sent externally

DATA RETENTION & DELETION

• All grocery data is on your device. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

• Referral records are retained while the referral program is active. 

  Contact us to request deletion at any time.

• Mixpanel analytics are retained for 12 months.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Fridgio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect 

data from children.

YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete 

data we hold about you. Contact us to exercise these rights.
